My parents encouraged me to play sports from an early age. As a child, my father taught me and my sister to play volleyball or soccer in the garden. Both my parents are also athletes. In his 40s, Dad is still actively playing football for our village.
I started actively playing volleyball in the 5th year of elementary school, when I started attending a club in neighboring Giraltovce. After a year, however, I transferred to the volleyball club in Stropkovo, where I started actively playing matches.
In the 8th grade, I took part in the selection for the Slovak national team, where I progressed further and became a member of the U16 WOMEN'S REPRESENTATIVE TEAM. With this national team, I took part in the U16 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP in July 2021, where we took 5th place.
When I started high school, I didn't know how volleyball would go on, since it would be very difficult to go to Stopkovo for training every day.
At the end of the 9th year, I received a great offer to play in the EXTRALIGA CLUB VK PREŠOV, in which I am finishing my second season this year.
This year, I also made it to the U20 and U22 women's national teams, with whom we will compete in the European Championship qualification in a few weeks.
Volleyball is an integral part of my life that steals all my time. Therefore, I will still have a difficult decision whether to take the path of MEDICINE or to devote myself fully and professionally to volleyball.
I believe that whatever I decide, my decision will teach me a lot.
What you can do today, don't put it off until tomorrow.
