Dofe? What is it? The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award (in short DofE - Duke of Edinburgh) is a complex developing programm which gives young people aged 14 to 24 years old the opportunity to develop their skills and character qualities so they can fulfill their own potential.

Our school offers this programm and that is why I decided to join it. I did it as a first-year student in 2019/2020.

In the DofE program, young people set individual goals and challenges in several activities. There are four key areas where young people are involved. Those areas are: skills, voluntary service, sport and adventurous journey. All areas have three levels of difficulty, from bronze to gold. The young person is rewarded after successful completion of all these areas.

As a voluntary service, I was tutoring a seventh grade intagrated girl Slovak and English languages. In sport field I choose weightlifting. The main area of skill was the art – drawing. I have done bronze level.
