Welcome
My name is Matej Petz and I welcome you to my website. Here is a brief summary of some of my school work, photos of my work, my schedule for the year, and my contact information.
School
I started my elementary studies in 2010 at the elementary school on Kúpeľná Street. I spent 5 years there. Since 2015, I have been studying for eight years at the Ján Adam Rayman Gymnasium in Prešov, where I completed my primary education in 2019. This school year (2022/2023), if I am lucky, I should finish my secondary school studies with the matriculation exam. I decided to graduate with the subject of mathematics and informatics, as I would like to continue my studies at university in this direction.
During my eight years of study, I managed to participate in various extracurricular competitions. Probably the most prestigious of them was the Chemistry Olympiad, which I participated in twice - in 2020 and 2021. In 2020, I made it to the regional round, but it ended unsuccessfully for me. Furthermore, I was mainly involved in team competitions of a mathematical nature, such as Fyziklání.
In 2022, I finished my eight-year studies at the Language School with a general state language exam.
Free time
If I had to rate myself according to my activities and hobbies outside of school, I would say that I am a very uninteresting person. From sports and sports activities, I would lean towards cycling. I have been doing this sport occasionally for a long time, either road or mountain version. Maybe if, in the years 2020 until the summer of 2022 I did not engage in cycling as actively as in the past years (Mainly because of the Corona virus).
Another of my hobbies is writing short stories and stories, mostly with some symbolic memory of my experiences and feelings from the given memory and allusions to me and my classmates, mostly (I try) humorous in nature. Again, I engage in this activity only sporadically when I have time and mood, but if there was an opportunity I would like to write a satirical and overly dramatized autobiography.
