Judo

I have been practicing judo since February 2023. I've always been interested in combat sports, and since my brother used to train this as well, I decided to try it myself.

What even is Judo?

Judo is a Japanese combat sport and self-defense technique that focuses on the effective use of the opponent's strength. It was developed in Japan in the 19th century, with its founder being Jigoro Kano. The main principle of judo is the use of techniques that make it possible to turn the strength and weight of the opponent against himself, which makes it possible to defeat even a larger and stronger opponent. Judo is characterized by a variety of throwing, holding, and leverage techniques. It has also been an Olympic sport since 1964.

Judo has given me a lot. Not only did it strengthen my love for sports, but it also contributed to my self-development. It taught me discipline, patience, diligence and perseverance. There are great people, so I also found new friends. It is also a kind of mental break and relaxation for me. I am currently the holder of the 8th kyu, or yellow belt, and I hope that I will only move forward in this sport.
